An excerpt from my most recent blog post:

The office was only sparsely populated today. Most people worked from home, wisely not trusting the slippery and treacherous roads. Not me — I walked into work with a smile on my face because despite my frozen toes and nose, I love the snow.

And then, I made snow angels.

I’ve been thinking about the intersection between work and play quite a bit, recently. I’ll definitely write more about it soon, but for now, here’s the story of how my work day, every day, is a play day.

I totally relate to this, my cycling commute has long been an opportunity for play. The risk and reward, the unstructured time before work and the stretch have long been mainstays of my day. Now that I have begun to run into work I’ve been able to explore another avenue of physical self expression.
